Explore the building blocks of form and texture in this structured 6-week journey through still life drawing and mixed media techniques. Designed for artists looking to develop their visual language and experiment with new materials, this course guides students through rendering volume, contrast, and depth using pencil, ink, crayon, and colour. By the end of the course, you will have created 4 complete still life artworks—each using a different medium—and will leave with a clear sense of visual progress and personal style.

Weekly Breakdown:

Weeks 1–2 Pencil & Ink Studies Learn to create form and shadow with pencil and eraser. Explore ink rendering with fountain pens using cross-hatching and line work. Subjects: Simple fruit and vase still lifes with contrast-focused backgrounds.
